Ace Hotels is offering guests the chance to secure a significant discount through its new gift card scheme, encouraging buyers to pay now and stay later.

The marketing tactic aims to keep revenue ticking over while coronavirus lockdowns continue, offering guests a 20% discount over normal prices.

All Ace Hotel properties are currently closed in compliance with mandated stay-at-home orders.

The gift cards, ranging from $100 to $1,000, can be purchased at the company’s website.

With no expiration or blackout dates, gift card balances can be split over single or multiple future stays.

They also cover mini-bar expenses, room service, on-site retail, restaurant and bar costs, or can be put towards a final bill.

The brand’s properties include: the Ace Hotel New York, Ace Hotel Chicago, Ace Hotel & Swim Club in Palm Springs, Ace Hotel Downtown Los Angeles, Ace Hotel New Orleans, Ace Hotel Portland and Ace Hotel Seattle.

Meanwhile, 100% of proceeds up to $100,000 (and 25% thereafter) will go to the Ace Family Fund.

The fund was created to provide relief for employees furloughed without pay during the COVID-19 crisis.
