Hotelbeds signs first-of-its-kind deal with US credit union


World-leading bedbank Hotelbeds has inked a first-of-its-kind accommodation distribution agreement with CU Travel, the official travel partner of the credit union industry in the United States.

This means that the 180,000 contracted Hotelbeds properties worldwide, for whom the bedbank markets rooms to consumers, can now gain bookings from CU Travel’s 12 million users.

This follows a push from Hotelbeds to work with more closed-user groups, for example points redemption schemes, employee benefits programs and loyalty cards.

Reservations from this channel more often come from long-haul markets, book further in advance, pay higher rates, cancel less, stay longer, spend more in destination, and return more frequently.
