While Las Vegas is mostly shut down during the coronavirus lockdown, some smaller businesses such as the Artisan Hotel are remaining open in some capacity.
The Artisan is inviting locals to staycation at the property, advertising ‘quarantine getaways’.
Rooms start at $39 per night and come with a free bottle of wine.
Operating in a limited capacity – with the pool, restaurant and bar closed – the hotel is nevertheless hoping that Las Vegas residents will be looking for any opportunity to escape their homes.
It has also suggested that its rooms could be used as temporary personal offices for those who find it difficult to work from home.
The Artisan started life as a Travelodge in 1979 and was renamed after a 2001 purchase and $4million renovation project.
It also hit the news last month as one of the few Las Vegas businesses hiring staff during the coronavirus pandemic.
