A proposed Nashville, Tennessee boutique hotel project in the city’s Arts District has been given the go-ahead by local authorities.
The Radison RED property will expand on the current four-storey 1950’s building, home to Metropolitan Federal, by adding a further six floors.
Now that it has been approved by the Metropolitan Development and Housing Authority (MDHA) the project will proceed with designer Southeast Venture and contractor DAV Construction.
The 116-room hotel is also reportedly the location of President Andrew Jackson’s first office in the city.
A rooftop bar and basement speakeasy will provide locals with two new venues, as well as a more traditional bar and restaurant in the lobby.
Reports suggest the Radisson RED Nashville could open in Q3 2021.
Radisson already operates a RED property at the nearby Nashville Airport.
