Plans have been revealed for the expansion of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand across the Americas.
The growth plans include new openings, brand transitions and new developments within affluent localities.
Heather Geisler, senior vice president of global brands, Hyatt, said: “Because Hyatt’s efforts are grounded in listening and fueled by care, The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand has a unique position within the Hyatt portfolio, as each property has the opportunity to tell its own story.
“As we continue to see the brand thoughtfully grow across the globe, we are excited to watch each story unfold, further driving brand loyalty to travelers looking for experiences unlike any other.”
The plans include Hotel La Compañia in Panama City, Panama, which will be located within the heart of Casco Viejo (Spanish for “Old Quarter”), a UNESCO World Heritage site. Expected to open in 2021, the 88-room hotel signals the brands launch into the Panama market.
Further developments include Mar Monte Hotel (pictured), located just minutes from downtown Santa Barbara in spring 2020, which is rebranding from Hyatt Centric Santa Barbara after an extensive renovation.
Two additional properties are set to open in the US in 2020 and 2021, respectively, including the 144-room restored landmark property, Hotel Kansas City, in Kansas City, Missouri and a 64-room boutique hotel in Hollywood, California. Both properties are currently being restored to their original beginnings, with a focus on providing extraordinary architectural details for guests looking to feel inspired.
Currently, The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand includes more than 20 unique hotels – located in key destinations around the world and targeted at travellers looking for premium and luxury experiences.
