Radisson Hotel Group is to open five new hotels across the US as it plots an ambitious expansion in the country.
The hotel company announced at its Americas Business Conference earlier this year that it is open new properties in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Nashville by 2024, investing in a combination of conversions and new builds.
A Radisson Red hotel is to open in Nashville in Q3 2020, and will comprise 120 bedrooms spread across six floors. The new hotel will be a renovation of an existing property in Printers Alley and will feature a first-ever Radisson Red speakeasy in its basement.
Radisson Red’s second hotel in San Francisco will be a $14m renovation of a historic property on Market Street.
The 120-room hotel is set to open in Q3 2021, featuring a fitness centre, games room and the brand’s signature restaurant.
The brand’s other San Francisco property was announced last year and is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2022.
A new-build Radisson Red will open in Los Angeles Arts District in Q1 2024, featuring 140 rooms, a fitness centre and rooftop bar, as well as the brand’s signature restaurant Ouibar and Kitchn.
Commenting on the Radisson Red US expansion, Terry Sanders, group chief development officer for the Americas, said: “Over the past two years, our team has been working aggressively to grow our Americas portfolio, primarily in key gateway markets in the US.
“These signings, many of them new-build hotels, from the Music City to the sunny West Coast, exemplify the commitment from our owners, who understand our vision and are helping us to expend these great brands across the Americas.”
