Renaissance Hotels has opened its latest property, the Renaissance New York Chelsea Hotel, one of the neighborhood’s tallest buildings at 39 floors or 430 feet.
On the site of the former Antiques Garage flea market, the 341-room hotel has been designed by firm Stonehill Taylor and aims to capture the history of the area.
Renaissance New York Chelsea Hotel also has a new restaurant concept, Cotto, by chef Fabrizio Facchini, a meeting and events space, and one of the city’s highest rooftop pools.
Renaissance Hotels will be opening to further properties in the city in the coming 24 months, specifically in Flushing and Harlem.
The brand also has recently opened hotels in Philadelphia, Toledo, Reno, Dallas and Newport Beach.
