The group behind one of New York’s most successful hotels is to expand into new territories with the launch of a new site in Toronto.
Leading international hospitality group, sbe, has teamed up with developer Brad Lamb and IE hospitality to create the Hudson Toronto, slated to open in 2024.
sbe founder and CEO Sam Nazarian said the new launch marks the ‘beginning of the Hudson brands global expansion’.
The Hudson Toronto will comprise 146 bedrooms with sbe’s F&B concepts, including a rooftop restaurant, signature restaurant, bar and café with other features to be announced.
“I am very proud to see the iconic Hudson Hotel take its legacy outside of New York in the cosmopolitan city of Toronto,” said sbe Founder and CEO Sam Nazarian.
“This marks the beginning of the Hudson brand’s global expansion and continuation of its innovation and well-known fame. We couldn’t be prouder to work with Lamb Development Corp and IE Hospitality, the most respected and well-known industry leaders, on this project and appreciate the trust they’ve put in sbe to bring one of the hospitality world’s true originals to Toronto.”
The Hudson Toronto is an integral part of sbe’s global expansion plan, which already has hotels in a number of global cities including Paris, Dubai, Buenos Aires, and Mexico City to name a few.
The project is subject to municipal approvals with hearings scheduled for spring 2020.
The Hudson in New York was acquired by sbe in 1997.
