Technology tops improvement agenda for Texas hotel

The Sinclair Hotel

The Sinclair Hotel in Texas has upgraded its heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, as well as its TVs, lighting and more, with help from LG.

The 164-room Sinclair Hotel, a Marriott Autograph Collection property, is situated in a 1929 building in downtown Fort Worth, and now boasts next-gen LG technology managing its HVAC systems.

This upgrade includes improved temperature control, smaller air conditioning units meaning more space, as well as increased energy efficiency.

The hotel, previously an office building, estimates a 40% saving in energy use since November 2019.

One way the technology saves energy is by using heat from one room to heat another adjacent room.

If room A is too hot and room B too cool, LG’s air conditioning technology will take the heat from room A and use it to heat room B.

This saves on energy costs and results in a more environmentally friendly business.

Farukh Aslam, chief executive officer, Sinclair Holdings, commented: “Creating an unforgettable experience for my guests is of the utmost importance as a developer, and I work with some of the most innovative and forward-thinking partners around the globe when developing my properties.

“I am very sold on LG’s technologies and the results are quite impressive, thanks to its amazing energy-efficiency and quietness, contributing to the tranquil atmosphere throughout the property.”

Another change means that guests along with room temperature, guests can control variables such as lighting and shower temperature via digital screens.
