Oetker Collection, the operator of luxury five-star hotels in Europe and around the world, has finally opened its first US site, The Vineta Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida.
The hotel was originally due to open in late 2024, before its launch was pushed back to 2025 and then ‘early 2026’.
Now, the highly-anticipated property has opened its doors following a major renovation of the former Chesterfield Hotel in Palm Beach, showcasing new interiors by internationally acclaimed designer Tino Zervudachi.
Emanuela Setterberg Di Vivo was appointed managing director of the hotel in June 2024. The Swedish native has previously worked for a number of international luxury hotel brands, including Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, Bulgari Hotels, Ferragamo, Rosewood, Dorchester Collection and One&Only.
Oetker Collection, a German family-owned business, has again teamed up with owner-partners Reuben Brothers for the project, who they previously worked with on the launch of Hotel La Palma in Capri last summer.
The property’s room count has been reduced to 41, down from 57, which Oetker says allows for ‘a more generous sense of space’.
There are four F&B concepts at the site, including the revival of the former Leopard Lounge.
The hotel’s signature restaurant is called Coco’s and is led by executive chef Sebastian Broda.
Coco’s features a menu ‘signed off’ by chef Broda and pastry chef Tarek of Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, sister hotel to The Vineta. The offering features newly created dishes inspired by the destination alongside guest favorites from the South of France hotel’s restaurants – Eden Roc Grill, Louroc, Giovanni’s, and Les Cabanes.
Elsewhere, an intimate courtyard offers alfresco dining, while a ‘highly exclusive’ American Bar features only a handful of seats.
The hotel is located in close proximity to the beach and found just two blocks off Worth Avenue, which is well known for its designer boutiques, restaurant scene and noteworthy galleries.

The opening marks Oetker Collection’s 12th Masterpiece Hotel around the globe.
Existing properties in the collection include The Lanesborough in London, Le Bristol in Paris, The Woodward in Geneva, and Eden Rock – St Barths.
