The Trump International Beach Resort Miami has announced it will be taking advantage of the current downturn in guests by beginning an extensive renovation of its lobby.
Despite the lockdown induced by the outbreak of COVID-19, the Sunny Isles Beach property will be enlisting original designer Carolina Keimig for the project which it says will begin soon.
Interior designer Keimig designed the original lobby nearly two decades ago. She commented: “So much has changed in the past 20 years, both in terms of design and the world.
“My career has taken me all over the globe, including luxury hotels and residences in Panama, Peru, Ecuador and Nicaragua. Throughout my travels, I have discovered that while we are all connected, the feeling of home provides a sense of comfort that is more important than ever.
“Returning to this project nearly two decades later, my goal was to create an environment that feels both luxurious and sophisticated yet also inviting and comfortable. That’s the key difference with luxury today: we can experience opulence while still feeling rooted and grounded.”
Trump International Beach Resort Miami is independently owned and operated, as well as being a member of the Preferred Hotel Group’s Lifestyle collection.
Its new lobby will take inspiration from nature, featuring a natural colour palette.
The hotel offers 360 rooms and suites, full-service spa, grotto-style swimming pool and poolside cabanas, along with a number of dining options.
